Reflection

We are several days into our Reading Through the Bible in 90 days Challenge. How are you doing with keeping up with the reading plan? I'll be transparent and say I'm not doing well at all! First off I don't love to read anything. It's terrible I know, I just never developed a passion for reading when I was younger I guess. I also feel like I don't have the time. But that is where the whole "Reflection" part comes in. You see Jesus never said to his Father God- "Dad I just don;t have time this week to die on the cross for all of those sinners". He also never says' " I just don't have time to answer your prayers". As I think on these things I am convicted and realize that I need to make time. Remember that was one of my goals for the new year; to have better time management. So I'm not going to give up. Instead I'm going to pick myself up and dust myself off and resume where I left off with my reading. I'm also setting aside some extra time today to catch up. Reading the Bible daily should not feel like a burden or a chore, rather a time to get alone with God and learn more about him and his character. A time to rejuvenate. Almost like a day at the spiritual spa.
Now doesn't that sound grand. I think so.
